    When new members join, even if they were invited to an invite only network, how about a welcome message you can auto send (and edit) so that they may feel more obliged to share things on your website? Also here is another, a reminder to log in and check their mail on site or for site participation?

    Like it's been a week and a half and "X" has not posted anything, a emailed reminder to remind them to post or check in (maybe with an actual check in box) could be mailed.

    It could also go by membership roles (free or standard) etc.

    suggestions, welcome auto send message you can edit, Check in, Email reminders

    Nice, this ties in with the ability to manipulate certain APIs. It will be easy to get the email of a user and send them an auto-mail after a 'delay' period.

    Wish we could get exposed to some APIs to complete the social network effect.

    @ayoidan  a bit confused, emailing may constitute spam in some cases, but if coming from your network directly it should be welcome since the member signed up to receive such notifications which also ties into getting members back onto your site which your example negates.  On a different side of the topic, I've been advocating for an auto tag bot for a long time, nothing shows new members that you care like a nice welcome gif which gets the member back on to your site and hopefully tagging/befriending others setting a good precedent.

    @SeanBrogna  Hi Sean, which of my examples negate as you mentioned?

    @SeanBrogna

    I've seen the auto-tag feature in Telegram groups and over time, I didn't like it. Also, it didn't give me that feel of being welcomed as I knew immediately that it was a bot welcoming. #JustMyTwoCents on auto-tags.

    An email on the other hand could be designed to welcome guests who are newly signed up. Only if we had a way to get the email of a new user via API so we can plug with a newsletter or something, that way, a workflow can be set up to take care of this.

    Instead, I make sure to welcome all new users personally on the website. Gets tasking.

    Something I really want to see HiveFlare do is allow owners set how many posts appear in the 'Recent Activity' widget and also be able to place more than one 'Recent Activity' per page. Currently, you can only add one. I'm thinking of a scenario where I can have this kind of layout;

    ----> New Members

    ----> Featured Events

    -----> Recent Activities (5-10 posts)

    ----> Hottest Blogs

    -----> More Recent Activities (another 5 -10 posts)

    ----> Hottest Music

    -----More Recent Activities (another 5 -10 posts)

    I believe you get the idea.....

    @AnaMassien-2 @Tina What do you think?

    I like it, you're really smart the way you think out of the box.

    @ayoidan   One thing I know that HF can do to sorta cure this problem, is you go into pages and create a welcome page and FAQ so after they sign up and log in, they are forced right to the page, that says Hello and welcome to my network and all this, (oops ning ability apparently) with some guidelines so they know what to expect, this is a little bit better than the emailing which does get tasking, then they auto see what you need them to know. May work in the meantime. Add a textbox on the front page and link the page like "New Members, welcome please read".

    Also you can get a newsletter and put the form in a html box on your site and ask your members to sign up, better yet if you have cloudflare you can use an app on your website that is a newsletter prompt.

    I hope this helps you some until the other could show up.

    @SeanBrogna

    Thanks Sean. There are so many ways HiveFlare can be used today. It's about to be a Niche world and network retention is vital for the success of any social network.

    Well, you have  to have a domain for your site.

    Then sign up, cloudflare will give you two name servers to use, usually something like jane.cloudflare.com and joe.cloudflare.com log in to your name registrar and change name servers to the above. (Or your own version what they give you) and then after logging in, go to DNS on the cloudflare side.

     Ok after this, you will want to add two cname records (or I did anyway)

    yourdomain.com -- you.socibd.com

    www - yourdomain.com

    I tried to do a wildcard * but it wouldn't let me.

    OK once your site propagates to cloudflare click on apps in the cloudflare admin

    Then surf until you see an app you want to try and or try them all. It's free. Cloudflare also gives you a secure universal ssl Cert free as well.
