Some questions

Hello,

I just signed up for a free trial and have some questions:

1. What do I need to do to test out the chat system? In the Admin screen area, it says I need to upgrade. Do I really need to pay just to see how the chat system functions?

2. When posting in the Forums, Blogs, Events, Photos, Videos, groups and Pages, I don't see any option to choose a category. But there is an option to see them by category so it's confusing. How do I set the category?

3. Is there an easy way to see how many people are on the site and who is logged in/online?

Hello Brent.

Chat is just text, similar to facebook chat and IM per member, and or chat channel. Its just text though.

Enterprise also allow for auto notifs when there is activity on your site, you get desktop notifs right away.

2. Categories need to be set for all items in admin panel under settings. Then you will see your forums and blogs and everything right.

3. No there isn't, you can set the members widget on the front page of the site and when you scroll over the members themselves if their online they will have a green dot on the profile hover. They will also appear on chat if they have not turned it off.

I don't work for socibd but I help out here and there, just send a support request from your admin section if you need help.
